Hologram. Industries Research (HIR) GmbH is the HoloID expertise centre of Hologram. Industries Group, specialized in designing, mastering and manufacturing volume holograms produced on photopolymers.

HIR has a team of experts in optics, chemistry and electrical engineering and has over 40 years experience in holography and optoelectronics.
 
This includes the development of the main process and production machinery of the hologram in the new German ID card and passport (Identigram™), set up of a complete embossing facility for label production, project management for innumerable hot stamping and laminate products and processes, system and equipment development for readers and sensors in the sector of holography and optics.

  • 2003:
    • Founded in 2003 by Günther Dausmann, it was a spin-off of Holographic Systems München GmbH (HSM).
  • 2005:
    • Günther Dausmann, President of Hologram. Industries Research GmbH, has received the Brian Monaghan Award (IHMA). Hugues Souparis, President and CEO of Hologram. Industries Group, was also rewarded (2007). This prize is given each year to individuals for their groundbreaking contribution and outstanding achievements in the field of holography. 
  • 2006:
    • In January, Dausmann Holographics GmbH joined Hologram. Industries Group from France and became Hologram. Industries Research GmbH (HIR).
