The production of identity documents (passport, ID card, visa) and similar official documents (driving license, government agency card) involves a multi-step procedure: registration of the requester, processing of the request, actual production of the secure document, and delivery to the requester.
Each of these specific stages requires highly specialized players, for example AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) service providers to capture fingerprints on enrolment, manufacturers of machines used to personalize passport booklets or plastic cards, database systems integrators, and so on.

The solutions proposed are systematically adapted to the precise constraints and characteristics of each project site: centralized or decentralized production site, enrolment site, autonomous document systems for embassies and consulates, and so on.
We study the most suitable choice of components for each document to be manufactured (booklet, laminate, RFID chip,...) to maximize the difficulty for a counterfeiter. Additionally, special provisions are made to ensure the issuing process managed by the system is audited in real time and that every elementary operation involved in the issuing of a personalized document is traceable.
